THREADS OF
THE NATURE
Threads of the nature is a creative exploration of sustainable plant-based textiles, utilising fibers derived from sources such as left over raw materials or textile waste yarns.. This project is inspired by the potential of these eco-friendly materials to seamlessly integrate with nature's cycles. By drawing inspiration from fabric construction and material textures, I crafted a mood board that served as the foundation for three-dimensional explorations. Through simplification and digital manipulation in Photoshop and Weave Point, I transformed these explorations into weaving patterns, resulting in a cohesive collection of woven textile designs that celebrate sustainability and innovation.

Plant-Based Textiles
The Heimtextil Trends for 24/25 emphasize a forward-thinking approach to textiles characterized by a "New Sensitivity." This concept of sensitivity involves being mindful of the impacts of our decisions and products. It calls for a thoughtful consideration of our interconnectedness with one another, technology, and nature as a cohesive system.
Within the realm of home textiles, New Sensitivity is manifesting through three key approaches. The first is the use of plant-based textiles, which are derived from natural sources rather than synthetic materials. The sustainable advantage of these textiles lies in their natural origins, making them more suitable for integration into existing ecosystems.
